Responsibilities

As a Part 1 or Part 2 Architectural Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the project lifecycle, including:

  • Design & Technical Production: Producing detailed architectural drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and developing compelling 3D models using tools like SketchUp and Lumion.

  • Design Communication: Preparing high-quality presentations, proposals, and reports, utilising proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).

  • Project Compliance: Assisting in the preparation of planning applications and technical design packages, ensuring a solid understanding of the UK Building Regulations and relevant planning processes.

  • Coordination & Delivery: Supporting Project Architects with scheduling, coordination, and administration to ensure timely and efficient task completion.

  • Site & Project Engagement: Participating in site visits and inspections to monitor progress and assist in resolving construction-related queries.

    • Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, etc.).

  • Regulatory Knowledge: A clear awareness of the UK planning application process and a good working knowledge of UK Building Regulations.

  • Collaboration: Excellent communication and organisational skills for effective internal and external collaboration.
