Three Peaks Walk for Alzheimer's Society

Thirty years after having first completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk I once again took to the hills earlier this summer for a second go. Having triumphed for a second time I returned to the same pub for a well deserved pint. How time does fly! This was all in aid of Alzheimer’s Society and, with my son, my daughter and my brothers alongside, we raised over £4500 which is wonderful news.

The going over 26 miles was tough but for the most part the sun shone. It was only as we tackled the very steep ascent of Ingleborough, the last of the three, that it started to lash down with rain and hail, but we made it to the finish without permanent injury in 11 hours.

A huge and heartfelt thanks to all those who donated with such remarkable generosity!
