Manor Lodge, is a substantial detached family house on the south side of Frognal Lane with a separate garage/staff annex. The original building dates from 1813 and the property is Grade 2 listed but it has been very substantially altered both inside and out such that relatively little of the original fabric survives and hardly any of it is now visible.
The current owner has already carried out extensive work, fully consented, to reverse the excesses of his predecessor, and now wishes to continue the process of restoring the original character of this important building.
The proposals involve works to the exterior of the house to recreate aspects of the original appearance plus internal improvements. There are also proposals for a below ground pool complex and rebuilding and extending the existing annex to create a building which is much more sympathetic to the house itself.
We were successful in gaining planning and Listed Building Consent for the proposals and we hope to start work on site in the near future.
